About Our Ingredients and Studio
Ingredients
Our soaps are made in the traditional cold process method using bee friendly Irish rapeseed oil . This makes them great for your skin and great for the bees. The soaps are scented with pure essential oils, not fragrance oils. They are 100% vegan and plastic free.
As well as essential oils for fragrance our soaps contain natural ingredients to benefit your skin. The oat and honey soap contains finely ground Irish organic oats and organic honey, both of which are known for their skin soothing properties. Our Rose Geranium soap contains finely ground homegrown bay leaves for natural and gentle exfoliation.
Our candles are made using soy wax not paraffin wax. As well as being naturally plant based soy wax also burns slowly and cleanly making beautiful, long lasting candles.
The candles are hand poured into amber glass jars with gold lids to preserve the scent. All our candles are 100% vegan and plastic free.
The same as our soaps, our candles are scented naturally with essential oils, not synthetic fragrance oils. Essential oils are very different from fragrance oils. They are derived directly from plants and are thus named because they contain the essence of the plant. They are used in aromatherapy and skincare for their many therapeutic properties. They are more tricky to work with and more expensive than synthetic or petrochemical derived fragrances but after much patient testing and blending we have created some beautiful, all natural scents without chemicals.
Production & Environment
All our products are handmade in small batches in Co. Wicklow, Ireland.
Never tested on animals, just friends and family.
All packaging and shipping is 100% plastic free and recyclable or compostable.
One day I hope to use 100% organic ingredients. For now as I produce such small quantities this is either too expensive or some of the ingredients are not readily available.
